We kept watching great local businesses lose customers to worse competitors who simply showed up first on Google. The quotes they were handed were either thousands of dollars for a templated page, or cheap enough to guarantee they'd be abandoned in a year. We started Launch Local to close that gap — serious, well-built websites at a price a family business can actually justify.
Our backgrounds don't overlap, and that's the point: computer science and cybersecurity, business and law, and healthcare. So a project gets built properly, contracted properly, and explained in plain English. We quote each job individually, we don't upsell, and the people who scope your project are the same ones who write the code.
Three founders, three disciplines, one point of contact.
Nabil founded Launch Local and builds both halves of what a visitor meets: the frontend they see, and the SEO that got them there in the first place. A computer scientist by training with graduate work in data analytics and cybersecurity, he treats search the way he treats everything else — measure it, tune it, measure again. Keyword research, page speed, accessibility, Google Business Profile. If your site loads fast and climbs the rankings, that's his work.
Derek is the studio's main backend developer: the databases, the server logic, the client portal, and the forms that actually land in your inbox. He also holds a Juris Doctor, which is less of a detour than it sounds — the habit that makes a contract airtight is the same one that makes backend code handle the case nobody thought of. He writes our agreements too, which is why our quotes are itemized, our contracts are short, and nobody finishes a project surprised.
James is a registered nurse who has run a floor as an RN nurse manager — a job that is mostly people, schedules, and budgets under pressure, which turns out to be good training for running client relationships. He also holds an M.B.A., so when an owner starts talking about margins, payroll, or what a website has to earn back, he isn't translating: he already speaks it. He leads discovery, the part of a project where we work out what your business actually needs before a single line of code is written. If you've ever been talked at by an agency, working with James is the opposite of that.
